Résumé |
La pathologie duelle a été étudiée par de nombreux auteurs depuis plus d’une dizaine d’années et peut être définie comme la présence comorbide d’un ou plusieurs troubles psychiatriques et d’une ou plusieurs addictions, chez un même patient, avec apparition de nombreux processus synergiques entre les deux pathologies, qui amène à une modification des symptômes, une diminution de l’efficience des traitements et à l’aggravation et chronicisation de leur évolution. Elle constitue un enjeu majeur de santé publique et un coût sociétal important (National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism [NIAAA], 2017).

The dual pathology has been studied by many authors for more than ten years and can be defined as the comorbid presence of one or more psychiatric disorders and one or more addictions, in the same patient, with onset of many synergistic processes between the two pathologies, which leads to a change in symptoms, a decrease in the efficiency of treatments and the worsening and chronicization of their evolution. It is a major public health issue and a significant societal cost (National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism [NIAAA]).
