Résumé

L’auteur expose brièvement la vie, le travail et l’œuvre médicale de Constance Pascal (1877–1937), première femme psychiatre et la première à diriger un asile, membre de la Société Médico-Psychologique, qui sont exemplaires du parcours d’une femme qui a exercé une profession jusque-là réservée aux hommes. Outre son parcours, elle est restée célèbre par ses publications consacrées aux Chagrin d’amour et psychoses .

Abstract

The author briefly exposes Constance Pascal's life, work and medical career. She was the first female doctor, the first woman to head an asylum, and was member of the Medical and Psychological Society. She had an exemplary path in a profession until then reserved to men. Other than her professional record, she has remained famous for her publications concerning Heartache and psychosis .
