The Journal of Climate Change and Health is a global scientific peer reviewed gold open access medical journal that publishes high quality scientific works related to acute and chronic climate related disasters, migration, changing patterns of disease and the impacts of climate change on the health and well-being of individuals, populations, health systems, and geographic regions.

The journal encourages articles relevant to best practices and solutions for climate change mitigation and equitable adaptation relevant to health. Topics include all aspects of human health throughout the lifespan from all health and research disciplines.

Goals of The Journal of Climate Change and Health include the following:

  • To serve researchers, healthcare providers, and policymakers by publishing works elucidating the connections between climate change and human health.
  • To promote communication about the immediate and long-term effects of climate change on human physical and mental health and well-being.
  • To encourage clinicians and researchers to investigate the impacts of climate change on human health, both on an individual and population-based scale.
  • To enhance the development of environmentally sound systems of health care.
  • To provide a forum where the relative effects of climate change on humans in different geographic locations and from different socioeconomic backgrounds can be explored so as to create equitable solutions.
  • To be committed, at last, to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which are right in line with the purpose of the journal.

The journal strives to adhere to the following standards and requirements:
