Created in 2011, as a spin-off from Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, this journal publishes up-to-date research indicating that many major diseases can be prevented, or alleviated with nutritional approaches. This can involve the malnutrition of children, or of adults in developing countries. In developed world, it can lead to cardiovascular diseases, nutritional control of diabetes, mineral deficiencies in patients with different pathologies including AIDS or special diets for patients undergoing drug or radiation therapies,

In addition, Biomedicine & Preventive Nutrition will publish a comprehensive and introduction to natural products and natural metabolites from plants and from marine natural products (bacteria, fungi, microalgae, sponges and mollusks) with particular emphasis on those used in medicine.

Biomedicine & Preventive Nutrition will be of special interest for those who are interested in medicinal natural products, chemists, pharmacologists, ecologists, physicians.
