Parmi les soins, la toilette constitue un moment relationnel privilégié entre le soigné et le soignant.
Cependant, selon la posture professionnelle adoptée par le soignant, la main qui lave peut être considérée par le soigné comme déshumanisante ou, au contraire, porteuse de respect et de réconfort.

Of the different care procedures, washing is a special relational moment between the patient and the caregiver. However, depending on the approach taken by the caregiver, the hand which is washing can be considered by the patient as dehumanising, or, on the contrary, a symbol of respect and comfort.
