This research aims to explore how the discourse of women victims of domestic violence living in emergency shelter shows the beginnings of psychic work of separation and restoration of otherness, by the manifestation of subjectivity elements. The main objective of this research is to understand how the victims invest their story through the features and construction of their speech. We conducted a discursive analysis of a corpus of 19 discourses to women victims of domestic violence and care home. They are an average age of 33 years (SD : 7.58). We performed a lexical and thematic analysis using the Tropes software (Zoom VF8.4) and performed statistical analyses of the results of the descriptive analysis of textual data using SPSS 22® software. To compare the frequency of use of the elements characteristic of the speech and the reference universe, we used the Wilcoxon test (alternative to the Student t-test). The Tropes software indicates that the speeches are supported by the pronoun “I” and the stagings are rooted in reality. The results show that women use to advantage the factive verbs (43%) and stative verbs (37.6%). We also note that all the subjects most frequently use numeric (47.5%) and subjective adjectives (37, 23%) than objective adjectives (15.23%). The results also show that subjects use mainly modalizations intensity (28%) and negation (31.8%). We also note that subjects use mainly opposition connectors (26%) but also adding connectors (31%). Finally, we find that the pronoun “I” (52%) and “he” (33.8%) are mainly used. I mean the involvement of the subject in his speech and, pointing to the violent partner. From a general point of view, the speeches are built in an argumentative style. Reference Universe present context by indicating the most frequent themes in speeches, here we mainly find the universe of family and feelings. We also observe the recurrence of temporal universe introducers, the universe of reference on the child, the reference to the body, health and housing. These analyzes allowed us to interpret the discursive dimensions and to highlight certain aspects of construction and discourse features of women victims of domestic violence, in a separation process. The overall results revealed the presence of subjectivity elements that suggest a subjective attempt to appropriate the traumatic experience.
