Résumé |
On décrit les deux mécanismes conduisant aux deux types principaux de paléoclimats, chaud et froid, ayant affecté l'ensemble de la Terre depuis le refroidissement post-mésozoïque et la création du Gulf Stream (ce dernier ayant imposé les alternances entre les périodes chaudes et les glaciations dans l'hémisphère nord depuis le Pliocène). Two mechanisms are described here, which generated the two main types of palaeoclimates - warm and cold - having affected the whole Earth from the post-Mesozoic cooling and the creation of the Gulf Stream (the latter having imposed alternations of warm periods and glaciations in the Northern Hemisphere since the Pliocene times.
