38 years in the life of a patient with a hepato-digestive disorder. Effects of homeopathic dilutions in space and time - 13/09/19
Summary |
We report on the clinical long-term follow-up of a patient with debilitating digestive disorders since contracting viral hepatitis and whose allopathic treatment was replaced by a homeopathic treatment. The hepatic-gastric presentation with its stereotypical flare-up and the general clinical picture are defined. The patient's pathology over time is summarized. The different prescribed drugs and their effects in terms of improvement or aggravation are detailed. An analysis is made with regard to the number of aggravations, which is subject to the degree of dilutions of prescribing homeopathic medicines in relation to the number of prescriptions of each dilution. It shows that, all unit medications combined, the percentage of aggravations goes from 4.9% for the 9 C dilution (1−18), to 15.2% for the 12 C dilution (10−24), to 29% for the 15 C dilution (10−30). No significant changes to the activity of homeopathic medicine have been observed over the three decades. The clinical pathogeneses are described. The question of the comparison of the respective effects of allopathic and homeopathic medicines is addressed. The hypothesis of a retrospective simillimum remedy is put forward. In conclusion this study shows that the frequency of the primary aggravations caused by homeopathic substances increased with the dilution, i.e. the higher the dilution, the worse the aggravation and that their frequency was maintained over time.
