Les eaux minérales naturelles peuvent être caractérisées selon les différentes thermalités, minéralités et classifications physico-chimiques. La France possède des eaux minérales naturelles de composition et de température très variées. L’eau thermale ne subit aucun traitement, elle est utilisée sur site thermal avec une température, une minéralisation et un débit invariable dans le temps. En France, on recense environ 90 stations thermales ; plus de 600 000 curistes par an profitent des propriétés thérapeutiques bénéfiques des eaux thermales.

Natural mineral waters can be characterised according to their different thermal, mineral and physicochemical properties. France has a wide scale of natural mineral waters of very varied composition and temperature. Thermal waters do not undergo any treatment and are used on the thermal site with a constant temperature, mineralisation and flow. In France there are about 90 spas; each year more than 600,000 patients benefit from the therapeutic properties of thermal waters.
