Résumé |
Contexte |
Conclusion |

Context |
Convoking the social sciences in a work of medical research may seem irreconcilable with the primacy given to the scientific method in medicine. It is indeed difficult to test a hypothesis when the study is qualitative and not parameterized. However, the introduction of the humanities into medicine has made it possible to reorient the search for measured and prudent practices by including a concern with patient well-being, when sometimes the search for evidence and a method dominated by objectification takes us away from that. It is in this field that this exploration takes place.
Goals |
Highlight the possible differences between a doctor and a philosopher confronted with the experience of collecting and shaping a patient story.
Method |
We report our experience of collecting the testimonies of patients who had gone through a very chaotic and unexpected period, according to two different methods, either by a doctor alone or in the presence of a philosopher.
Results |
The results cannot be transposed to all cases, since they are very different depending on the method used and the actors involved.
Conclusion |
Far from a quest for proof and definitive results, this type of research makes it possible to invest a large field in medicine, in which we can identify points of convergence, rather than divergence, between teams.
