The ansa cervicalis (AC) is part of the cervical plexus and is formed by the ventral rami of spinal nerves C1-C3. It is usually formed by two roots that run parallel to each other and then form a loop anterior to the internal jugular vein. Herein, we report a rare case where the AC was found deep to the internal carotid artery and common carotid artery and had sympathetic contributions.

L’anse cervicale (AC) fait partie du plexus cervical et est formée par les branches ventrales des nerfs spinaux C1-C3. Elle est généralement formée de deux racines parallèles l’une à l’autre et formant ensuite une boucle antérieure à la veine jugulaire interne. Ici, nous rapportons un cas rare où l’AC a été trouvée en profondeur par rapport à l’artère carotide interne et de l’artère carotide commune et elle avait des contributions sympathiques.
