Le but de cet article est de d’informer le lecteur à propos du projet OrphanAnesthesia auquel collaborent de nombreux anesthésistes-réanimateurs et experts en maladies rares dans le monde entier. Cette collaboration a abouti à la rédaction de recommandations actualisées, validées et en accès libre sur l’internet pour plus de 200 maladies rares. Nous décrivons les objectifs du projet, démontrons son utilité et son importance et présentons une nouvelle fiche “urgence” destinée à faciliter et sécuriser la prise en charge en urgence d’un patient atteint d’une maladie rare.

In this overview we would like to introduce the OrphanAnesthesia project, in which anaesthesiologists and rare disease experts around the world are collaborating. More than 200 peer-reviewed recommendations for the anaesthetic and perioperative care of patients with rare diseases have been produced to date. We would like to highlight the importance and relevance of the project and we present a new emergency card, specifically designed for the emergency care of patients with a rare disease.
