T02-O-01 Protective health communication among sexually active men and women in Nigeria - 27/06/08

This study investigated health protective sexual communication among sexually active men and women the sample consists of 451 respondents who were selected using stratified random sampling techniques. The Questionaires was validated and had a construct validity of 0.83. Frequency counts and percentages were used to describe the data, while the test statistics and one way analtsis of variance were used to test the hypotheses generated. The result of the analysis showed that many Nigerian Sexually active people do not or have never communicated protective sexual issues, which could prevent sexual transmission of HIV or other sexually transmitted diseases.
