Haematological malignancies include a broad spectrum of diseases. The substantial progress made in systemic treatment over the last 20 years is reshaping the role of radiotherapy. Recent technological progress in imaging and radiotherapy has led to significant refinements in targets definition, sparing of organ at risk to reduce toxicity, thus ensuring that radiotherapy remains the cornerstone for several indications. We present the recommendations of the Société française de radiothérapie oncologique for radiotherapy of haematological malignancies, which continues to evolve rapidly in terms of therapeutic strategy.

Les hémopathies malignes couvrent un large spectre de maladies. Les progrès considérables réalisés dans le traitement systémique au cours des 20 dernières années redéfinissent le rôle de la radiothérapie. Les progrès technologiques récents en imagerie et en radiothérapie ont permis des améliorations significatives de la définition du volume cible, et la protection des organes à risque pour réduire la toxicité, permettant ainsi à la radiothérapie de rester l’un des traitements clé pour plusieurs indications. Nous présentons les recommandations actualisées de la Société française de radiothérapie oncologique (SFRO) pour la radiothérapie des hémopathies malignes, qui reste un domaine très évolutif en termes de stratégie thérapeutique.
