Enjeux actuels du vitalisme en homéopathie - 21/06/10
Philippe Marchat
Current stakes in vitalism in homeopathy |
An implicit vitalism supports the practice and ideas of the majority of homeopathic medicines. Indeed, although many people are perhaps ignorant of the fact, two distinct dimensions can be differentiated between within vitalism: on the one hand «philosophical» vitalism and on the other hand, «scientific» vitalism. If the first retains all of its relevance, the referencing of homeopathy to scientific vitalism is by contrast a handicap for homeopathy, due to the fact that this is now of archaic nature and lacking in any significant substance. The author therefore pleads the case for a homeopathic neo-vitalism which recognizes the value of proclaiming a positive philosophical value, while rejecting any temptation to rely on scientific vitalism.
