Fondée sur le raisonnement clinique et l’expertise infirmière, la prise en charge en stomathérapie contribue à la qualité de vie du stomisé. Dans la phase préopératoire, la stomathérapeute cherche à approfondir les informations données par le chirurgien, à instaurer une relation d’aide tout en préparant, déjà, le futur retour à l’autonomie du stomisé.
The role of the stoma therapy nurse in the preoperative period |
Based on clinical reasoning and nursing expertise, stomatherapy care helps to improve the stoma patient’s quality of life. In the preoperative period, the stoma therapist seeks to expand on the information provided by the surgeon, to establish a helping relationship while preparing, already, the stoma patient’s future autonomy.
