Résumé |
Les cartes conceptuelles (Cmap) sont un outil d’évaluation des connaissances des patients dans le cadre d’un programme d’éducation thérapeutique (ETP). L’objectif est d’évaluer les connaissances de patients BPCO après un programme d’ETP en réhabilitation respiratoire (RR) en utilisant les Cmap. Sept patients BPCO hospitalisés en RR sont inclus dans cette étude. Un entretien éducatif est réalisé en début et fin de stage avec construction des Cmap. L’évolution du nombre de notions erronées ou justes et du nombre de liens entre les thèmes permet d’évaluer les connaissances. On constate une augmentation significative des liens entre les thèmes, du nombre de concepts justes (p<0,05) et une diminution significative des concepts erronés (p<0,05). Les Cmap mettent en avant l’amélioration de l’intégration des connaissances du patient. Les Cmap semblent être un outil intéressant mais son utilisation en pratique courante paraît difficile compte tenu du temps nécessaire à leur réalisation.

The conceptual map (Cmap) is an evaluation tool of the patients’ knowledge in a therapeutic education program (TEP). The aim is to estimate the knowledge of COPD patients after a program of TEP in pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) by using Cmap. Seven COPD patients hospitalized in PR unit are included in this study. An educational interview is realized at the beginning and the end of program with construction of Cmap. The evolution of the number of erroneous or right notions and the number of links between the themes allows to estimate the knowledge. We notice a significant increase of the links between the themes, the number of right concepts (P<0.05) and a significant decrease of the erroneous concepts (P<0.05). Cmap puts forward the improvement of the integration of the patients’ knowledge. Cmap seems to be an interesting tool but its use in current practice seems difficult considering the time required for their realization.
