Irido-choroidal coloboma: An atypical presentation?
Colobome iridochoroïdien, présentation atypique

Figure 1

Figure 1 :

A 46-year-old female with homonymous hemianopsia after surgical removal of a temporal astrocytoma was referred to our Neuro-Ophthalmology Department. Examination of the right eye showed a superior-nasal iris coloboma (A), and a round-shaped white lesion with hyperpigmented areas in the superior-temporal area of the choroid (B). Irido-choroidal colobomas usually present an infero-nasal location as part of a deficient embryonic fissure closure. In this case, it is difficult to distinguish whether it is an atypical presentation of an irido-choroidal coloboma or just a coincidence of an iris coloboma and another retinal lesion, such as a toxoplasmosis retinal scar.
