Étudié depuis une décennie, le site de Banizoumbou, typique de l'hydrologie du Sud-Ouest nigérien, a permis de caractériser la triple dynamique de vidange des mares temporaires : (1) lors d'un événement pluvieux, une première phase de vidange rapide est suivie d'une seconde, beaucoup plus lente ; (2) au cours de la saison des pluies, la vidange est de plus en plus difficile ; (3) enfin, en 10 ans, la vidange a également ralenti. Cette triple évolution est interprétée comme une modification importante du colmatage limono-argileux tapissant le fond de la mare, induite par l'anthropisation rapide du milieu. Abstract

A ten-year study of the Banizoumbou site shows it to be typical of the hydrological processes in southwestern Niger. The emptying dynamics of the temporary pond occur on three time scales: (1) after a rainy event, emptying is initially rapid, becoming much slower later; (2) over a complete wet season, emptying becomes more and more difficult; (3) finally, emptying has slowed over the years. This indicates an important change in the clayey-silty clogging of the pond bottom, as a consequence of rapid environmental changes resulting from human activity. To cite this article: W.
