1  NB : un article très récent suggère un rôle de la calcitonine sur l'ostéoformation. L'invalidation du gène de la calcitonine chez la souris est associée à une ostéocondensation avec augmentation des paramètres d'ostéoformation, sans modification de la résorption osseuse (Hoff AO et al., J Clin Invest 2002;110:1849-57).
