Résumé

Les mécanismes d’hydratation cutanée sont complexes et font appel à de nombreuses données pharmacologiques. Au sein des molécules impliquées dans les phénomènes d’hydratation cutanée, l’acide hyaluronique, glycosaminoglycanne largement distribué dans l’organisme est un acteur central. Ses capacités hygroscopiques et sa présence dans le derme et l’épiderme en font un pivot du maintien de l’hydratation et de l’élasticité cutanée.

Summary

Skin hydration mechanism is complex. Hyaluronic acid is a widely distributed glycosaminoglycan and one of the chief component of the extracellular matrix. It has a high water retaining ability and has recently been shown to be present in the epidermis. HA plays a central role in hydration and elasticity of skin.
