Abstract

Evaluation of gedunin content from different parts of Azadirachta indica A. Juss. Accumulation of gedunin in different parts of Azadirachta indica A. Juss. was evaluated by the HPLC method. This compound was found abundant in the fruit epicarp (0.1 to 0.8% of the dried plant material used). The young green fruits contained more gedunin than the ripe fruits. Gedunin concentration in the leaves was less than 0.1% and present as traces elsewhere in the plant. Pour citer cet article : K. Koumaglo et al., C. R. Chimie 7 (2004) .
