Résumé

Les syndromes douloureux abdominaux au cours de la mononucléose infectieuse sont rares et habituellement rapportés à une hépato- ou une splénomégalie. Nous décrivons chez une fille âgée de huit ans la survenue d'un tableau douloureux d'allure péritonéale, lié à une lymphadénite mésentérique associée à une primo-infection par le virus d'Epstein-Barr. L'évolution a été favorable en l'absence d'intervention chirurgicale. À propos de cette observation, nous nous proposons de passer en revue les différentes causes des douleurs abdominales au cours de la mononucléose infectieuse.

Abstract

Abdominal pain is uncommon in patient with Epstein-Barr infection and is usually attributed to an enlargement of the liver or spleen. We report on an 8-year-old girl with a pseudoperitonitis due to a mesenteric lymphadenitis associated with Epstein-Barr infection. Outcome was favourable without surgery. We review the different causes of abdominal pain occurring during Epstein-Barr infection.
