Leukocytoclastic vasculitis presenting as an erythema gyratum repens-like eruption on a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus - 11/05/12
Abstract |
Cutaneous leukocytoclastic vasculitis is a common finding among patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, although the clinical appearance of the lesions varies. We report the case of a 38-year-old woman with systemic lupus erythematosus who had leukocytoclastic vasculitis with peculiar clinical morphologic features of the cutaneous lesions. They consisted of figured erythema closely resembling erythema gyratum repens. We discuss the differential diagnosis with other annular eruptions. (J Am Acad Dermatol 2002;47:S254-6.)
