La naringénine, l’un des flavonoïdes du pamplemousse, aurait des propriétés pharmaco-thérapeutiques dans le syndrome métabolique. Il est néanmoins nécessaire, compte tenu de l’interaction connue du jus de pamplemousse avec certains médicaments, de connaître la marge de manœuvre disponible afin d’envisager d’utiliser certains flavonoïdes de ce fruit comme substances thérapeutiques.

Naringenin, one of the flavonoids found in grapefruit, is thought to have pharmacotherapeutic properties with regard to metabolic syndrome. It is nevertheless necessary, given the known interaction of grapefruit juice with certain medicines, to be aware of how much leeway there is before envisaging using certain flavonoids from this fruit as therapeutic substances.
