Résumé

L’Île-de-France est une vaste région dont la complexité est centrée sur Paris et où vivent environ 12 millions d’habitants. Les parents d’enfants avec autisme et autres Troubles Envahissants du Développement ainsi que les adultes sont également confrontés à cette complexité. Plus spécifiquement, il est souvent difficile pour eux d’accéder à un diagnostic et une évaluation fonctionnelle ou de trouver les aides ou les orientations vraiment adaptées à leur situation. Pour les aider, un Centre Ressources spécifiquement dédié aux Troubles Envahissants du Développement (TED) et appelé Centre Ressources Autisme Île-de-France (CRAIF) a été créé en 2004. Plusieurs professionnels (documentaliste, assistante sociale, psychologue, assistante de direction, chargée de communication et directrice) proposent des informations et des conseils grâce à divers moyens (téléphone, courriel, rencontres, supports papiers…) aux personnes et aux professionnels demandant de l’aide. Dans ce travail, nous présentons les diverses missions de cette structure et les manières dont ses professionnels essaient de les remplir.

Abstract

Paris area is a complex urban area where 12 million people are living. This complexity is also encountered by the parents of children or the adults with autism or others Pervasive Developmental Disorders. More specifically it could be difficult for them to get a diagnosis or to find the right way to get measures really appropriate to their situations. To help them a specific structure called “Centre de Ressources Autisme Île-de-France” (CRAIF, Center for Resources in Autism, Paris Area) was created in 2004. Several professionals (librarian, social worker, psychologist, doctor, management secretary and manager) try to give information or advice in various manners (phone, mail, e-mail, visiting…) to the people (families or professionals) searching help. In this paper we report the various missions of this institution and the way its professionals try to answer.
