L’érythermalgie est une maladie rare dont l’étiologie est mal connue. Primitive ou secondaire, cette affection est caractérisée par des crises paroxystiques d’érythème, des douleurs et une chaleur des extrémités. Nous rapportons un cas d’érythermalgie primitive familiale qui illustre les difficultés de sa prise en charge thérapeutique et nous développons une brève mise à jour de sa physiopathologie et de son traitement.

Erythromelalgia is a rare disease whose etiology is poorly understood. It is characterized by paroxysmal attacks of erythema, pain, and warmth of the extremities and can be primary or secondary. We report a case of primary familial erythromelalgia and stress the difficulties in its therapeutic management. We provide a brief update on the pathophysiology and treatment of primary erythromelalgia.
