La bactériémie à streptocoque du groupe G est une infection rare mais grave, en particulier dans le post-partum. Son incidence augmente depuis la fin du XXe siècle chez les sujets âgés qui présentent des comorbidités importantes (tels qu’un cancer, une pathologie cardiaque ou un diabète). L’objectif de notre travail est de rapporter les aspects cliniques et para-cliniques, ainsi que les modalités thérapeutiques d’un cas exceptionnel de bactériémie à streptocoque du groupe G, après un accouchement normal par voie basse, chez une jeune femme de 26ans. Le streptocoque du groupe G étant commensal de l’appareil génital féminin, la contamination endogène a probablement eu lieu par passage dans la circulation sanguine lors de l’épisiotomie

The bactériémia with streptococcus of the group G is a rare infection, in particular in the post-partum, but by which the incidence increases since the end of the XXth century. The objective of our work is to report the clinical and the bacteriologic aspects, as well as the therapeutic modalities of an exceptional case of bacteriemia with streptococcus of the group G, after a normal vaginal delivery, at a 26-year-old young woman. The streptococcus of the group G being a part of the normal flora of the female genital tract, the endogenous contamination probably took place by passage in the blood circulation during the épisiotomy.
