Résumé

Nous rapportons le cas d’une infection invasive à S. pyogenes présentant des atteintes multifocales à la fois articulaires et cutanées chez un nourrisson de 20 mois dont l’évolution a été favorable après mise en œuvre d’un traitement médico-chirurgical adapté. Le traitement antibiotique a reposé sur l’association amoxicilline et clindamycine dont les modalités d’administration et la durée ont tenu compte de l’évolution clinique et des localisations secondaires. Une prise en charge chirurgicale avec lavage-drainage de l’articulation atteinte s’est avérée nécessaire pour obtenir la guérison complète.

Summary

This case report describes a 20 months-old toddler with a multifocal S. pyogenes invasive infection cutaneous and articular, which outcome was favorable after implementation of a medical and surgical treatment. The antibiotic treatment was based on the association of amoxicillin and clindamycin which duration was guided by the clinical course and the secondary locations. A surgical management with joint irrigation lavage and drainage was necessary to induce a complete recovery.
