Voilà un demi-siècle que l’effet Pygmalion alimente les sujets d’étude. Politologues, sociologues et psychologues multiplient les publications qui relatent l’importance du lien social de subordination élève-enseignant et de ses répercussions sur les performances scolaires. Il est étrange de constater à quel point un comportement humain aussi facilement identifiable fait l’objet de tant de réticences quand il pourrait intégrer l’arsenal des outils pédagogique efficaces.

Pygmalion effect has been feeding study subjects for half a century. Political scientists, sociologists and psychologists are publishing more and more publications on the importance of the social bond of student-teacher subordination and its repercussions on academic performance. It is surprising to see how such easily identifiable human behaviour is the subject of so much reluctance when it could be included in the arsenal of effective pedagogical tools.
