Une patiente présentant un syndrome vestibulaire important, a bénéficié d’une rééducation orthoptique visant à restaurer la cohérence des afférences visuelles qui permettent, en réduisant considérablement l’asthénopie vestibulaire, de retrouver une qualité de vie et une autonomie. La rééducation orthoptique a eu pour objectif d’améliorer principalement la fixation référencée à l’axe corporel et au « droit devant », la qualité de la vision binoculaire et particulièrement des vergences en tenant compte de l’accommodation.

A patient with an important vestibular syndrome benefited from orthoptic rehabilitation aiming at restoring the coherence of visual afferents which, by considerably reducing vestibular asthenopia, allows her to regain quality of life and autonomy. The orthoptic rehabilitation aimed to improve mainly the fixation referred to the body axis and to the “straight ahead”, the quality of the binocular vision and particularly of the vergences by taking into account the accommodation.
