Cartilage Tumors - 26/07/25

Abstract |
Cartilage tumors consist of a heterogeneous group of neoplasms characterized by the production of cartilage. Benign cartilage tumors generally exhibit slow growth and indolent behavior, while chondrosarcoma are more aggressive. Due to the overlapping morphology of cartilage tumors, integration of clinical, radiological, histologic and molecular data is needed to establish the correct diagnosis. This review provides a comprehensive overview of common cartilage tumors, discussing the key diagnostic features and differential diagnoses. Additionally, it will briefly address noncartilaginous bone tumors that can have cartilaginous metaplasia, aiding pathologists in their recognition.
