L’article présente la genèse, le fonctionnement et le contenu de la grille GAPPEA (Grille Alternative Psychomotricité Environnement Affectivité), pensée à partir des besoins rencontrés dans la pratique clinique en Centre d’Action Médico-Sociale Précoce (CAMSP), face à des bébés nés prématurés et à leurs familles. Elle répond à la nécessité d’élaborer un nouvel outil original utilisé par les psychomotriciens pour guider et affiner leurs observations cliniques dans ce domaine.

Autour de sa création, la grille reprend et met au travail des études préliminaires sur des groupes de bébés de 8 mois mais implique aussi le travail en réseau de plusieurs dizaines de psychomotriciens autour de son utilisation. Elle s’appuie sur une démarche quantitative et qualitative.

La grille a été construite comme un guide pour observer des éléments précis explorant différents domaines en termes de psychomotricité et se divise en 5 domaines d’observation (premières observations, découvertes psychomotrices du bébé, interaction et liens parents/enfant, réponse du bébé face aux sollicitations du psychomotricien, liens entre le clinicien et la famille) avec à chaque fois des items précis présentés en détail. Elle donne une place prépondérante aux enjeux liés aux parents.

Au regard de ses expérimentations, elle présente une forme d’originalité par rapport aux supports déjà existants et s’adapte au besoin des psychomotriciens exerçant dans ce champ clinique. Les retours positifs effectués par les professionnels l’ayant utilisée témoignent de son utilité.

La genèse et les premières utilisations de la grille plaident pour de nouvelles déclinaisons de sa mise en œuvre dans le champ de l’approche clinique du bébé. Sa mise à l’épreuve sous de nouvelles formes en permettra aussi sa transformation voire son étalonnage par la suite.

The article presents the genesis, functioning and content of the GAPPEA grid (Grille Alternative Psychomotricité Environnement Affectivité – Alternative Psychomotricity Environment Affectivity Grid), which was devised based on needs encountered in clinical practice in CAMSPs when dealing with premature babies and their families. It responds to the need to develop a new and original tool used by psychomotricians to guide and refine their clinical observations in this field.

The grid takes up and puts to work preliminary studies on cohorts of 8-month-old babies, but it also involves the networking of several dozen psychomotricians around its use. It is based on a quantitative and qualitative approach.

The grid was constructed as a guide for observing specific elements exploring different areas in terms of psychomotricity and is divided into five areas of observation (first observations, the baby's psychomotor discoveries, parent/child interaction and links, the baby's response to the psychomotrician's requests, links between the clinician and the family) with specific items presented in detail for each area. It gives pride of place to issues relating to parents.

In terms of its experimental use, the grid is original in relation to existing supports and is adapted to the needs of psychomotricians working in this clinical field. The positive feedback received from professionals who have used it testifies to its usefulness.

The genesis and initial uses of GAPPEA suggest that it should be used in new ways in the field of clinical approaches to babies. Putting it to the test in new ways will also allow it to be transformed and even calibrated later.
