Abstract |
Mobitz type II atrioventricular block was found in two children. In both, right branch bundle with 2:1 block was present initially and later progressed to complete heart block. Bundle of His recordings in the first patient before and after surgery showed that the conduction system had been damaged in the His Purkinje system. Mobitz type II block may be a forerunner of complete heart block which requires ventricular pacing.
