Summary |
An infant with sickle-cell anemiahad swelling of the distal extremities and remarkable roentgenographic alterations in the bones of the wrists and hands. A brief review of scattered previous reports indicated that such manifestations are probably not extremely rare, that their pathogenesis is far from clear, but that healing of the osseous lesions is usually prompt.
