Thromboembolic complications in primary endocardial fibroelastosis - 07/10/17
Abstract |
Thromboembolic phenomena, especially of the central nervous system, appear to be more common in primary endocardial fibroelastosis than is generally realized. Five new cases and examples from the literature are presented to illustrate this association. In addition, the possible influence of race and of anemia in this disorder is considered. Although serious, endocardial fibroelastosis with thromboembolic complications is not necessarily fatal.
