Lung volume reduction surgery (LVRS) was introduced recently at the author’s institution. A multidisciplinary, collaborative group practice was established and it led to the creation of an LVRS CareMap™. The CareMap™ provides essential direction for all disciplines in the care of LVRS patients. Its critical success is related directly to the highly committed group of experts who were motivated to achieve positive patient outcomes.
