This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief.
The authors contacted the journal stating that they had recently identified concerns regarding the reproducibility of the data, requesting a retraction, but with no further details. The Journal's own analysis identified blots reused from a 2017 article (Propofol enhances BCR-ABL TKIs' inhibitory effects in chronic myeloid leukemia through Akt/mTOR suppression, Zhimin Tan, Aixia Peng, Jingwen Xu & Mingwen Ouyang, BMC Anesthesiology volume 17, Article number: 132 (2017)), which also lists Zhimin Tan as an author. While assessing the case the authors withdrew their request for a retraction, but the Journal still asked the authors for a response to these concerns.
The Authors responded, stating that some experiments had been outsourced to a biotechnology company, which was not previously declared, and they were not able to provide supporting information or data to support the findings in their paper.
The Editor assessed the original request and the Authors response, and having lost confidence in the findings, decided to retract the article.
