Shoulder pain in the golfer is usually the result of overuse. In defining the cause of the pain, one must consider the age of the golfer as well as the individual mechanics of the swing. A thorough patient examination is essential to diagnose golfers accurately and to treat them optimally. This article offers three cases to illustrate different causes of shoulder pain in the golfer.
