This corrigendum has been retracted at the request of the editor.
A corrigendum for the article "Vanillic acid attenuates effects of transient bilateral common carotid occlusion and reperfusion in rats Biomed. Pharmacother. 96 (2017) 667674. j.biopha.2017.10.052 " was originally published in September 2023. However, an investigation conducted on behalf of the journal by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team has identified 3 instances of figure panel duplication in Figure 5B in the original article to which the corrigendum referred. Moreover, the investigation identified that the 3 instances of figure panel duplication in Figure 5B exist in its corrigendum as well.
Given the nature and extent of the image duplications found, the editor has lost confidence in the integrity of the data and has determined to retract both the original article and this corrigendum related to it.
