• | Idiopathic encephalopathy was most likely due to the microlesion effect |
• | Microlesion effect in the bilateral CM may impair paramedian thalamic nuclei |
• | Stunning of these regions may result in a transient encephalopathy after implant |
• | Transient encephalopathy should be considered following CM electrode implantation |
