Vascular anatomy of the hand and therapeutic applications - 06/08/26

Abstract |
This article provides a detailed analysis of the complexity of hand vascularization and its anatomical relationships. It examines the main arteries of the hand (radial, ulnar, and interosseous) and their networks of branches and anastomoses in relation to the structures of the hand. The therapeutic applications derived from this vascular anatomy are also described, particularly the various types of flaps used in reconstructive surgery to address soft tissue defects of the hand. The article also discusses the venous and lymphatic vascularization of the hand.
