Nous voulons mettre en question les effets de l’inflation du terme de handicap dans le champ de la pédopsychiatrie. La mise en œuvre de la loi de 2005 sur le handicap avec la mise en place des «  MDPH  » associée au développement des approches neurodéveloppementales entraînent un changement de paradigme dans le champ clinique. La dimension du symptôme disparaît au profit de la notion de trouble qu’il s’agit de repérer et de corriger. Toute l’approche psychodynamique qui vient inscrire le symptôme dans une histoire se trouve marginalisée. Le risque serait alors de stigmatiser l’enfant dans un handicap. Nous prendrons deux exemples cliniques.

We want to question the effects of the inflation of the term “ disability ” in the field of child psychiatry. The implementation of the 2005 law on disability, with the establishment of the “ MDPH ” (local disability centres) and the development of neurodevelopmental approaches, has led to a paradigm shift in the clinical field. The dimension of the symptom is disappearing in favour of the notion of a disorder that needs to be identified and corrected. The entire psychodynamic approach, which places the symptom within a historical context, is being marginalised. The risk is that children will be stigmatised as disabled. We will take two clinical examples.
