The growing integration of robot-assisted surgery into the operating room has significantly increased the complexity of workflow management and surgical scheduling. The role of the coordinator, a function naturally assigned to the operating room nurse (ORN) due to her technical and organizational expertise, has become strategic. We detail how mastery of the specific aspects of robotic surgery –variable setup times depending on the model, management of specialized instruments, and troubleshooting technical malfunctions– is essential for optimizing the surgical schedule.
