This article describes enhancements to models previously devised for demonstrating slit-lamp findings to students and physicians. These models include vacuum tubes insertedinto styrofoam mannequins, applying glue to the curved end of the tubes, and other modifications. The models can stimulate the optical appearance of the anterior segment, “flare” and “cells” in the anterior chamber, hypopyon, gross and microscopic hyphema, the red reflex, cataract, corneal epithelial defects (including fluorescein staining), and superficial corneal foreign bodies.
