18F-Fluoride PET/Computed Tomography Imaging - 28/06/14
Résumé |
Production of 18F-labeled tracers, including 18F-fluoride, has been simplified, and bone imaging using 18F-fluoride PET with computed tomography (PET/CT) is relevant once again. 18F-Fluoride PET/CT imaging should be considered for the assessment of bone abnormality in clinical practice, not only in patients with cancer but also in benign scenarios. Accumulated data on the use of 18F-fluoride indicate that this modality is highly sensitive for the detection of skeletal lesions, allowing assessment of pathophysiologic processes in normal and abnormal bone.
