Concerns were raised regarding the feasibility of the research and the data presented. The same author group published a similar article at the same time (Marey et al, 2017). In summary, in this paper, patient recruitment was reported as 90 patients over two years (June 2015 to end May 2017) with a parity from 2-5, however the Marey et al paper reports 50 participants within a six-month recruitment period, and parity ranging from 0-6 which is inconsistent. The authors were asked for an explanation but did not respond. The editor concluded that since the article has impact for future meta-analysis and clinical practice, the evidence and outcomes being based on unconfirmed timeline and the issues regarding the statistical analysis in the tables, the paper should be retracted.
