The management of rectal surgery complications is difficult, particularly in septic contexts where very few interventions can be proposed to avoid a definitive colostomy. The redo delayed coloanal anastomosis is a complex surgery which may be used in such situations.
We describe two cases of redo delayed coloanal anastomosis using a retro-ileal pull-through approach. In a septic context following a complication of rectal surgery, the salvage of anastomosis remains a challenging procedure. However, the redo delayed coloanal anastomosis using a retro-ileal pull-through is feasible and may help prevent a definitive stoma.
