Highlights |
• | We describe the first case of arthritis due to monkeypox virus, with inflammatory predominantly neutrophilic synovial fluid, contrary to other viral arthritis. |
• | This arthritis had good clinical outcome, with spontaneous improvement. |
• | Arthritis of unknown origin should be screened for the presence of monkeypox virus in the right epidemiological context. |
