Magnetic resonance enterography (MR enterography) extends its utility beyond the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). As a sensitive and non-invasive imaging modality, MR enterography combines high-resolution, multiplanar imaging with functional assessments, such as bowel motility evaluation, all while avoiding ionizing radiation. These features make it especially valuable for pediatric and radiation-sensitive populations. Beyond IBD, MR enterography has proven instrumental in diagnosing a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions including congenital anomalies. This article explores key imaging findings for various conditions, highlights challenges and limitations of MR enterography, and underscores its potential to enhance clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
